Research Opportunities
REACH Post-Bacc Program
REACH offers a one-year postbaccalaureate program with research opportunities and professional development training to enhance scholar’s applications to graduate and medical school. Operating in tandem with Stanford Medicine’s Commission on Justice and Equity, the Racial Equity to Advance a Community of Health (REACH) Initiative at Stanford Medicine is dedicated to training a new generation of leaders in medicine and science who will actively promote health equity, racial equity, and social justice and work to reduce our society’s devastating health disparities. Stanford Summer Research Program in the Biosciences (SSRP)
SSRP is a research-intensive residential program for undergraduates that takes place on Stanford’s beautiful campus over a nine-week period. Stanford Summer Research Program website
Stanford ADVANCE Summer Institute
ADVANCE is an eight-week summer transition program designed to give incoming graduate scholars early exposure to research in their Biosciences Home Program over the summer. ADVANCE Undergraduate Institute (AUI)
ADVANCE Undergraduate Institute (AUI) is a three-day program sponsored by the Stanford Biosciences and the Stanford Black Bioscience Organization. The program is designed to introduce representative sophomores and juniors to the Stanford University campus and provide guidance in the graduate school admissions process. Eligible applicants should be interested in pursuing a PhD in the Biosciences. ADVANCE Undergraduate Institute
You Belong at Stanford
This virtual event is a series that gives prospective students the opportunity to learn about the amazing graduate programs we offer and the chance to engage with both Stanford PhD students and Biosciences Admissions and Recruitment Staff. Visibility & Representation Gathering
This program provides graduate scholars who are interviewing with the opportunity to learn about Stanford’s graduate experience, the School of Medicine’s commitment to representation and belonging, and campus organizations and university resources that support diversity. This event takes place during interview visits on the Stanford SoM campus.
